About the Role
VP of Segment Marketing needed at one of my OMS/PMS clients! Hybrid London or NYC. US base $175k - $195k plus 20% target bonus and $30k in equity (so around $265k all in). UK base up to £155k and £210k all in. Must have experience marketing to large asset managers.
The Team:
The Marketing Department is pivotal in driving the firm's growth and global expansion. By developing strategic go-to-market initiatives, creating compelling content, and enhancing our digital presence, the Marketing team positions the firm as an industry leader.
The Role:
As VP of Segment Marketing, you'll develop winning marketing strategies for their products and services globally. You'll gain a deep, firsthand understanding of client needs and implement marketing programs for each target segment. Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and collaborating closely with Product and Sales leaders, you'll be responsible for achieving marketing-sourced pipeline and bookings targets across segments and regions.
You'll interact with clients, analysts, and influencers to gain market insights and drive thought leadership. Working with sales and product teams, you'll create messaging that resonates throughout the buyer journey and partner with product management to drive the adoption of new features. You'll also collaborate with their demand generation team to execute revenue-focused brand campaigns.
What You’ll Do:
• Serve as marketing's subject matter expert on their industry, products, and clients
• Develop comprehensive understanding of our TAM and ICP to drive engagement
• Create and execute global marketing strategies for each segment and region
• Meet KPIs for marketing-sourced pipeline and bookings
• Lead primary client research to inform messaging and content strategy
• Model marketing KPIs based on market dynamics
• Maintain expert knowledge of competitive landscape and positioning
• Partner with Sales and Product to define thought leadership and product positioning
• Develop buyer journey maps, value propositions, and cross-channel campaigns
• Create and execute insight-driven marketing programs
• Develop sales enablement and product marketing materials
• Lead product launch strategies and market education programs
• Collaborate with alliance partners to generate leads and increase awareness
What You’ll Need:
• 15+ years in product, segment, or integrated marketing roles within financial services, preferably marketing fintech to asset managers
• Strong background marketing to institutional asset managers
• 3-5+ years leading global teams
• Proven ability to develop thought leadership and market positioning
• Deep knowledge of asset management sector, including trends, pain points, and workflows
• Understanding of investment management front-to-back-office operations
• Global marketing experience including UK, EMEA, and APAC
• Track record of executing global marketing plans and managing budgets
• Ability to synthesize complex concepts into compelling messaging
• Experience in market research and competitive analysis
• Strong presentation skills and ability to engage senior decision-makers
• Excellent project management capabilities
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
