About the Role

PRODUCT BUSINESS ANALYST needed at one of my fintech STARTUPS! Hybrid in Dallas or NYC only. Base $85k - $135k plus bonus depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering:
o Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, product managers, implementation analysts, and developers, to gather and document detailed business requirements for SaaS applications.
o Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.

2. Analysis and Documentation/ Solution Design:
o Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
o Create detailed business and functional requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
o Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements and are scalable, efficient, in-sync with other product initiatives, and aligned with best practices for SaaS applications.
o Ensure solutions are designed to meet both current and future needs, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders.
o Identify and mitigate potential risks related to the development and deployment of SaaS applications.

3. UI/UX Collaboration:
o Work closely with UI/UX designers to integrate business requirements into user experience and screen design.
• Familiarity with Figma or some other design tool is preferred
o Provide insights into user behavior and preferences to enhance the usability and visual appeal of the SaaS application.
o Review wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to ensure they align with business objectives and user needs.
o Participate in the design and iteration of user interfaces to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience.
o Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and inform design decisions.
o Ensure the consistency of the user experience across all platforms and devices.

4. Testing and Validation/ Change Management:
o Work with QA Team members to develop & document detailed testing plans that span all possible edge cases
o Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and work with stakeholders to resolve any issues.
o Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies and plans.
o Provide training and support to end-users and implementation specialists to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.

5. Project Management Support:
o Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.
o Track project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

6. Stakeholder Communication/ Data Analysis and Reporting::
o Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear and effective communication.
o Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
o Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
o Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Business Analyst, preferably within a SaaS or software development environment.
o Experience working with UI/UX designers on user experience and screen design projects.
o Working on a new product/feature from the requirements stage all the way through deployment is a large plus

Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of SaaS business models and architecture.
o Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
o Experience with requirement management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
o Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and best practices.
o Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces. Figma experience (Big plus).
o Ability to understand and translate user needs into effective design solutions.
o Familiarity with popular SaaS platforms and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
o Understanding of data security and privacy considerations in SaaS applications.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
o Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex business problems
o Strong attention to detail and the ability to see how smaller details fit into the big picture.
• Ability to preemptively identify conflicts b/w 2 or more product initiatives
o Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to identify edge case scenarios to ensure a complete UI/UX experience and comprehensive testing plans

Project Management/Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
o Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Curious and creative by nature
o Strong interpersonal skills and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
o Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
o Knowledge of project management tools and practices. Smartsheet is a plus
